This particular poem I wrote for the beginning of a movie script that I am writing for fun. It is based on my beautiful girlfriend of three years. I hope you enjoy it.

This love transcends all space and time
Our only purpose is to hear "you're mine."

We were two souls separated into insignificant parts
Now we are two holes, endlessly filling each others hearts.
We thought we were too ugly to be loved
But then I saw you soul, as pure as a dove
And you saw mine, so imperfectly perfect
You became a goddess and chose me as your prophet.
Every fault and blemish was masked by inspiration
We melted together beyond our imagination.
The two innocent rejects in a world corrupt
Our true love  is enough to make any man erupt.
Confiding in each other, we do not need another
All promises kept, and all expectations are met
Blossoming as if spring was year round
And the sky never gave in to clouds
Our love grew into a solitary fortress.
Safe and sound we need no rest
So we drift on, beautiful and free
Glad we found each other, before we knew who we would be.
