An Angel's Goodbye

As she looks down from the sky
She looks onto her grave
She was a young, innocent girl
That no one could save.

She watches their tears
As they flow from their eyes.
“I left them in pain,
Because I told them all lies.”

She hears her mom say,
“My baby is gone.
We’ll never see her again.
What did we do wrong?”

She looks at her father,
Never seen him so sad.
She flies down to be near him,
Whispering “I’m sorry dad”.

She looks at her brother
And tells him “I’m sorry.
But I’m not in pain now,
So you don’t have to worry.”

The next is her teacher.
“You don’t know how we’ll miss you.
Things won’t be the same now.
You were one of the few.

We joked and we laughed.
I’ve seen your tears and your smiles.
But I know it was hard for you,
To walk those rocky miles.”

Tears flow from her eyes
For the pain that she sees
To the ones she hurt most.
She falls to her knees.

“I’m sorry to all of you.”
As they look in the sky.
The sun has come out.
It’s time to say bye.

“Don’t ever forget me,
But please do not frown.”
She watches all the hearts break
As she’s lowered six feet down.
